Laura de la Mare is an artist, illustrator and designer who, over the years, has had the privilege of contributing to the decoration of some of the most beautiful houses in the UK as well as working on projects in Europe, America and Russia. After studying at St. Martin’s School of Art Laura trained as a restorer in London for many years. Here she learnt the skills of gilding, painted furniture restoration and many other aspects of decorative paint finishes.

Laura’s magazine and television credits include appearances on the BBC’s Real Rooms show and coverage in a range of national and regional interiors magazines including The Saturday Telegraph Magazine, World of Interiors, Country Living Magazine, Tatler Interiors and English Home. Laura undertakes commissions for  murals, paint effects on furniture and walls, as well as bespoke hand painted wallpapers.
